To provide the needed protection to SAR Teams through the SARVAC Insurance Program, there are multiple Policy Types.

All teams are provided with the National Policy and have the option to add the recommended coverages under Northern Policy.

Policy Types available

(Both administered by Northern Insurance Brokers)

National Policy

Required by National (available to all teams who register)
  • Provides coverage to each registered SARVAC Team for:
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)
  • Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability
  • Register/update information each year
This policy is PAID for by NATIONAL

Highlights are illustrated for your review:

Directors & Officers Liability: $2,000,000

Accidental Death & Dismemberment:

        • $200,000 / per Director & Officer
        • $200,000 / per Volunteer

Northern Policy - Additional Coverages

(Liability & Property / Equipment)
  • Provides selected coverage(s) for:
  • Commercial General Liability (CGL)
  • Property / Equipment
  • Register/update information each year
This policy is additional coverage(s) and is paid for by the Teams

Highlights are illustrated for your review:

Liability: $5,000,000

Property: (limits as requested)

      • Building, Contents, Flood, Earthquake
      • Owned/Non-Owned Watercraft
      • Owned/Unlicensed Motorized Vehicles (ATVs, Snow Machines, etc.)
      • Non-Owned/Unlicensed Motorized Vehicles (ATVs, Snow Machines, etc.)

Other:

      • Information Bulletin Drones / UAV
      • Specialized Hybrid Teams
      • Non-Owned Aircraft

Note: Some provinces provide Teams with provincial funding, ask your broker if your team resides in these provinces.
