Interac e-Transfer®

Send money using Interac e-Transfer® to simplify everyday payments and a great alternative to cheques and cash. Quick, convenient and secure, Interac e-Transfer® is the number one person-to-person service in Canada. It enables clients with an email address or phone number and an account at a Canadian financial institution to transfer funds directly to Northern Insurance Brokers.
  1. Log in to your financial institution’s online or mobile banking and navigate to Interac e-Transfer Send Money. Visit interac.ca/interac-e-transfer-help
  2. Select the account you would like funds transferred from
  3. Add or Select “Northern Insurance” as a contact:
    1. Fill out the name as Northern Insurance (due to character count limit)
    2. Complete the e-mail address as: etransfer@northernins.ca
    3. Type in the specified amount you are sending
    4. IMPORTANT: Add a personalized message of Insured’s name or Legal Business Name, if possible please specify for Home or Auto Insurance, etc.  Example: Your Legal Name, Policy # XX123456, Home Insurance
    5. Do NOT add a security question even if your bank’s platform has the option. If you must insert a security question please use the following example; Question: Insurance Broker Answer: Northern
  4. Northern Insurance Brokers has enabled the Interac Auto-Deposit feature to complete the transfer without a security question
  5. Northern Insurance Brokers will receive a notification that funds have automatically deposited into our account
