Supporting the Community

From our humble beginnings to the corporation we are today, none of this would have been possible if it was not for you and for your continuing patronage. Since 1941, we have learned the value of community involvement. Supporting the community is a sound long-term investment.

Our Community Investment Program:

  • Makes community involvement a part of our business model, not just a policy
  • Intersects employee values, business interests, and community needs
  • Monitors and measures results
  • Carries out a substantial portion of the involvement through partnerships
  • Makes use of in-kind contributions in addition to cash

Eligibility Guidelines

1. Eligible Requests

  • We fund healthcare initiatives that support the broader community.
  • We fund education for students, families, and the broader community. Projects should have an educational value that extends beyond the project or event.
  • We initiate/support programs in response to local community needs. Show evidence of collaboration with other community organizations for optimum community impact and value.

2. Requests NOT Eligible

  • Projects incompatible with the values of Northern Insurance Brokers
  • Political organizations or campaigns
  • Organizations designed primarily for lobbying or advocacy
  • Individuals and their projects
  • Religious organization for direct religious activities
  • Testimonial recognition or honouring dinners
  • Endowments
  • Private schools
  • Field trips and tours
  • Conferences or Meetings

3. Evaluating Requests

These are some questions we consider when evaluating requests:

  1. To what extent does the organization’s goals align with Northern Insurance Brokers’ philosophy of mutual self-help and fostering healthy communities?
  2. To what extent does the organization’s goals align with the values and objectives of Northern Insurance Brokers?
  3. Are employees involved with the group? To what extent?
  4. Has the organization received support from Northern Insurance Brokers in the past? Please provide an explanation?
  5. What other organizations are providing support?

Submit a Sponsorship / Donation Request

Thank you for considering Northern Insurance Brokers as a sponsor for your team, organization or event. Through our established Community Investment Program our company has a proud tradition of giving back to our communities and customers by supporting local events and organizations.

To submit a request for sponsorship or donation, complete the basic information and attach your request below:

If your request is approved, please allow up to 2 – 3 weeks for our team to evaluate and respond. Due to high demands for sponsorship funds, Northern Insurance Brokers is unable to support all requests.
