Today we are celebrating the success of one of our team members. Ryan Bentley, a commercial account executive, has earned the prestigious designation of Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) from the Canadian Insurance Institute.

This is the highest level of designation in the property & casualty insurance industry, and an accomplishment that has only been achieved by a select few across Canada.

Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ryan graduated from Sir James Dunn high school and the University of Waterloo. He has been working in the insurance industry for eight years, starting with a position at a multinational insurance company; he has been a young leader on the Northern Insurance team for the last four years. It has been during these four years that Ryan worked towards the requirements of FCIP, taking classes in strategy, leadership, risk management, finance management, emerging risk, as well as successfully completing a major project.

The minimum amount of time it could take to complete FCIP designation is three and a half years, so completing it in only four years as Ryan did is an impressive feat.

In addition to FCIP, Ryan has also earned the designations of Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker, Chartered Insurance Professional, and Canadian Risk Management.
