After an incredible 40-year career in the insurance industry, Northern Insurance Brokers is honoured to announce the retirement of Patty Babcock, Vice President of Personal Insurance, effective November 27, 2025.

Patty’s journey with the organization began in 1985, when she joined Algoma Insurance as a junior data entry clerk after earning her RIBO license in 1983. Through her dedication, expertise, and passion for service, she developed into a trusted leader, ultimately becoming Vice President of the Personal Insurance Department. For over 13 years, Patty has led and grown the PI Department with passion and expertise.

Over the course of her distinguished career, Patty has led a team of exceptional Sales, Customer Service, and Technical Service professionals, all united by one goal: delivering outstanding service, support, and protection to our clients. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping the culture of excellence and client care that defines our Personal Insurance team today.

Patty’s deep industry knowledge and commitment to continuous learning have made her an invaluable mentor to many. She has earned both her CAIB and CIP designations, taught CIP courses, and mentored countless brokers across Sault Ste. Marie and beyond. Her thoughtful guidance, practical experience, and unwavering advocacy for clients have earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and peers throughout the industry.

As she embarks on this well-deserved next chapter, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Patty for her years of leadership, professionalism, and dedication. Her contributions have left a lasting legacy — one that will continue to guide and inspire the next generation of brokers at Northern Insurance Brokers.
